Our heritage
More than a century ago, La Maison Corson planted the origins of Mauritius’ tea story. Its founder, Jules Corson, introduced to the island the very first tea seeds, from which all tea currently cultivated on the island originates.
A few years later, he introduced the popular vanilla black tea, blending the island’s finest flavors into what would become an enduring symbol of Mauritian savoir-faire. From that moment on, Corson has stood as the guardian of this living heritage where craftsmanship and innovation meet.
